About TECS Consulting Group
TECS Consulting Group was founded to bridge two worlds: the requirements of local legislation in Central Asia and the Caucasus, and the international standards demanded by global corporations, lenders, and investors.
International consultancies and corporate clients increasingly need a partner who can be physically present on site, understand the local regulatory environment in depth, and deliver findings in the language of international frameworks. TECS was created to meet exactly that need — to provide a real look on the ground and an assessment that is credible on both sides.
Our founder
TECS is led by a Senior ESHS consultant with more than 15 years of specialist experience and a career spanning over three decades in industry, from technical operations through to senior advisory work across the region.
Our work covers Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), management systems implementation, compliance auditing, occupational health and safety, and stakeholder engagement. We have delivered projects across oil & gas, mining and metals, energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure, applying IFC Performance Standards, EBRD Performance Requirements, the Equator Principles, ASTM, and ISO 14001 / 45001.
Our expertise
- Standards expertise. Auditing and reporting to IFC Performance Standards, EBRD Performance Requirements, Equator Principles 4 (EP4), ASTM E1527, and ISO 14001 / 45001.
- Sector depth. More than 15 years across oil & gas, mining and metals, energy, manufacturing, transport, and chemical production.
- Regional knowledge. Deep familiarity with the regulatory environment of Central Asia and the Caucasus — and how local law maps to international expectations.
- A trusted partner. Engaged by major international consultancies and local operators alike for independent, on-the-ground assessment.
- Working languages. Russian, Kazakh, and English — bridging international firms and local teams.
How we work
We take a practical, systems-based approach. Rather than producing reports that sit on a shelf, we focus on implementation, gap closure, and building safety and environmental culture that lasts after the engagement ends.
